Our vision for each student is to have an authentic relationship
with God. We pray the Rock is a place that students grow into future
church leaders, connect with other like-minded believers, and leave
ready to impact the world around them. We pray together, we learn
together, we laugh together, we serve together, and we strive to be better
together.
Sunday Mornings:
The Rock gathers every Sunday morning in the youth room. We
strive to use this time to learn more about God and encourage one
another in their walk with Christ. Our desire is to connect the Bible in a
tangible way to student’s every day life: school, family, friends, etc..
Wednesday Nights:
The Rock meets every Wednesday night. During the school
calendar year, students participate in our TeamKids program. This
program is designed to be a fun and interactive way for students to grow
in their faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ and the plan He has for their
life. During this time, we eat together, learn together, and worship
together.
Outreach:
There are several opportunities for students to get involved in the
Rock. We have monthly outings doing a variety of different activities.
From bowling to hiking to game nights, there is always fun to be had
and opportunities to connect with other youth members. Every
November our youth participates in the Hearts on Fire Retreat. This is a
weekend long conference that we look forward to every year. We also
have regularly scheduled lock-ins, and service opportunities. In addition,
we also have “Youth Sundays”. This is a time where our students are
allowed to teach adult classes and lead the Sunday morning worship
service themselves. Mountain View greatly supports these Sundays as it
gives our students the opportunity to use their God-given talents in the
leadership of our church.
All high school students are welcome to join the Rock- a safe place
where youth can gather from all walks of life to be real with each other
as they develop their own faith in Jesus.
